Re: UK Passport renew and application
Keep copies of everything.
A copy of the ID page of your son's Canadian passport would also be helpful. |

Sent everything in, it shows that they received it on the 26th of Jan, nothing heard or received back from the embassy.

Nothing received yet either. I thought taking the money meant that passport should be on it's way?

That's what I thought too... but I've also heard that the new designed passport is more difficult to produce.

Re: UK Passport renew and application
For two adults+shipping+insured for few hundred dollars.
I called the Careline last night to check the status. Our applications are under "examiner's review". Use a free VOIP provider to call home (+44) and pay 0.69 plus VAT per minute, a standard call normally last for 4 minutes. it's much cheaper to use the 1-900 number from Canada.

Why did you send your drivers licence? You don't have to ... and you should at most have sent a copy.
You may be driving illegally if you are not carrying it with you. Read the requirement in form-c1-notes: If the name has been changed otherwise than by marriage or divorce, documentary evidence that it has been changed for all purposes is needed. A deed poll and/or statutory declaration together with at least three other documents in the new identity would normally be sufficient. |

Because we are both applying due to legal name change.

A deed poll and/or statutory declaration together with at least three other documents in the new identity would normally be sufficient. They have (until recently at least) accepted photocopies of ID documentation. Irrespective of the reason, you may be driving illegally if you do not have your drivers licence. Check the law in your province/state and if that is the case, you have to go and get a replacement before you drive any further. |
