UK passport number
I am about to renew my UK passport (due to expire May 2008). For reasons that I am too embarrassed to submit the bloody thing - photo taken 10 years ago and still in my school uniform 
Does anyone know if the passport number remains the same on renewal?

I just checked my passport the number changes on renewal. Also it's a good idea to get your new passport while you're still in the UK it's pretty expensive to renew in Canada.

Do all of your friends and family work at the passport office?
Likely as not you will never have to face the person who processes it.
What are you worrying about??

i think he means he is not wanting to submit it for immigration purposes, not just to renew it.

I am abot to send in my paperwork to the consulate but it has my old passport number, my passport has been sent off for renewal a couple of days ago!
