Hi, I am interested in emigrating to the Halifax area of Canada and would be keen to hear what my chances are of finding employment as a Welder (pipe-fitter). Also i have been told that the nicest areas to settle are falls river and Waverly, and what do you do about health care
any info would be appreciated THANKS.

any info would be appreciated THANKS.We have found the Health Care in N.S. to be first rate. A family doctor who takes all who come into his office. (a good old fashioned attitude).
MOH was recently diagnosed with a serious ilness and within 2 weeks was in the hospital, operated on and now clear because of the prompt treatment.
Also, we do not make direct payments for the health care plan as it is funded by the federal and prov governments.
(are you a dangerous welder or just playing safe?)

Recognition of foreign qualifications is often a problem in Canada, depends on the profession/trade and the province. That will affect your employment chances.
