Default UK Gas Engineer / Gas Fitter skills equivalent in Ontario

Has anyone on here been through the process of getting their UK gas qualifications assessed by the TSSA in Ontario?
What was the eventual outcome? Were the skills/qualifications deemed equivalent to G1, G2 or G3? Are you now working successfully in this grand land of furnaces?

There's been a few who have - I dug through some of the threads and found some links that might be of help to you

https://www.tssa.org/en/fuels/fuels-...ification.aspx Updated TSSA
https://www.tssa.org/en/amusement-de...ublication.pdf (opens in new tab, no download - see section 7 - challenge process)
https://www.tssa.org/en/about-tssa/r...--FS--2020.pdf (higher level challenge process)

Anyone from Ontario?
ECA for gas fitter trade
Red seal exam - plumber/gas fitter

My husband did way back in 2005. He was allowed to challenge the G3 and G2 levels, that written and practical exams. . This didn't work out as he couldn't access any study materials without being enrolled on a course. He got a part time job cleaning furnaces for a while then went to college to study for bot9h levels. He says that even though the science is the same everything is different. Forced air furnaces ratger than boilers, no back boilers etc. There aren't many jobs that come up round here, the majority are in the cities, especially installation in new homes. Gas work is slow in the summer and you might be laid off each spring until fall. Pay outside the big cities isn't what they tell you!
He shoukd oil certification too and HVAC .
