Default UK flight to Halifax

Has anyone noticed that flights from uk to canada seem to have really shot up in price this year? We were planning on going to Halifax in July and travelling around NS, NB and PEI but the flights now seem really expensive. For the last 4years we have gone to other parts of Canada in the summer and flight to Halifax costs way more than to Vancouver 2 yrs ago! Ant ideas of cheapish flights?

Though the prices do change somewhat, they also fluxtuate on a daily basis.
I have noticed this a lot, I came here for $300 and now a flight back to the UK is in excess of $900. That said I have a flight booked for the 15th which was only $249. The best bet is to find the date deals on Canadian affair and then book that date directly via Air Transat.

What I found was when I tried to book via Canadian affair, it would say no flights for the cheap date, but by booking through Air Transat, those dates are available and actually $2 cheaper in tax, though God knows how that works?

You have to monitor AC continually for seat sales & pricing. For example (flying t'other way but just as relevant) we are travelling from Nfld to UK this summer. At one point, flights were $1500 a person & then all of a sudden they dropped to $800. Thats when we booked.
