Default UK Dodge Ram to Canada.

Has anyone taken they car to Canada?
I know the laws are really strict :curse: but my Dodge Ram was built and designed for USA so it should comply . It has only had the lights changed so it should straight forward to convert them back.

Try doing a search for this as it has been covered very recently. I believe it depends on the age of the vehicle (over 15). Probably better off selling it and getting a new one when you get here.

Importing is costly and complicated and if not done correctly, customs get arsy and force you to destroy your car or ship it back (at your cost).
Dodge Rams are dime a dozen in Canada, so make your life simpler, sell and buy here.

Dodge Ram in UK....that sounds positively decadent!

I am big bloke and can not stand small cars or should I say I dont fit in them.
Decadent yes but hey you only live once.
Think I will sell it and buy a new one in Canada.
I'd cry my eyes out if they made me destroy it or send it home.

Doesn't seem to be a problem from Canada's pov - it might cost more than it's worth to transport though.

It'd need the lights to be on all the time and the speedometer to be kilometered. It's not really viable.

Sell it, seriously, while you may look uniquely cool now, once you get here, you'll discover Dodge Ram's are 10 a penny and will be pining for that quality "european" import!!! I'm serious!
