Domestic or import? Rothmans B&H is the second-largest cig manufacturer in Canada. It makes Canadian versions of those brands.

Superkings is an Imperial brand. Imperial Brands Canada (owned by Imperial) is the country's largest manufacturer. I don't see Superkings on its product list. Duty-free, perhaps.

Try Peter Jackson. Made by the same company as Players but slightly rougher, if that's what you're after.

You can't do that in Canada. Trans-provincial cigarette shipping is very much frowned upon.

Hmm, a mate of mine was accosted by the constabulary while driving to Newfoundland with a truckload of Ontario cigarettes, he was severed scolded. Perhaps if he'd had wrapping paper.

What I didn't understand was why he bought "tax paid" Ontario fags, since he was only going to have them confiscated and get dragged off to jail, he may as well have bought smuggled ones in the first place. (At that time the Canadian companies were selling more cigarettes into the US for smuggling back to Canada than they were selling over the counter in Canada). I suppose that's Newfies for you.

I do sometime wonder at how different the Imperial brands are. I seem to remember reading a few years back that one of the du Maurier versions was, in fact, exactly the same ciggy being sold under one of the Matinee formats.

Gotta get back on to summer-length smokes soon. The winter-length ones are staining my fingers.

Try summer length ones and wear gloves. It's not rocket science.

I have numerous pairs of gloves with burn holes in them.

Perhaps it is rocket science after all. The idea is to throw the smoke away with enough left on it to avoid the glove ignition sequence.
