Post UK to Canada removal companies.

I have read loads of threads about international moving companies. We now have our PR documents and have our UK house on the market. We are starting to think about getting quotes from movers and wanted to ask people for recommendations.
We are looking to hear which companies people used to relocate to Canada and what they thought based on value for money, service both sides of the Atlantic and if they would recommend them to others.
Has anyone used Anglo Pacific? They are one mover that was recommended by our agency. Thanks for your help in advance.

Avoid Pickfords! Stuff took for ever to arrive and bits were quite badly damaged.

I would also say avoid Pickfords, we had a contract with them at work to do all our international moves a few years back and they were dire - think they've gone into administration recently. We're moving in May and have narrowed it down to the Moving Partnership or GB Liners as heard good things about both and they both cost about the same.

We used GB Liners. Very happy with the service on both ends.

Our only thing is we had a lot of stuff and shipped a 40 ft container. There was still room in it - we wish we would have filled it. I think my partner wanted to fill it with Marmite....

Cool Re: UK to Canada removal companies.

we used white and co. they were really good. we had 2 blokes who were there for 3 days and they did the lot. the only thing we had to do was keep the cups of tea coming plus everything turned up in cambridge on in one piece

We used Britannia in Feb - had no problems, nothing broken and everything packed carefully.

Apparently they use Tippet Richardson in Canada and that's who they said they would be using for us if we go with them. Still not made my final decision between MP & GBL Hope things are good with your plans.

We are moving in may too, and have seen the moving partnership, whites and GB liners. So far, GB liners have not been good at returning calls and I am still waiting for their quote. The other 2 have been better at customer service level, and whites is coming up £500 cheaper so am tempted to go with them...

We used Robinsons Derbyshire to Vancouver and have nothing but praise for them and Williams who they use in Vancouver. I really do think that it is a real lottery as to who you get on the day as most companies have both good and bad reviews!
Good luck with your move
