Seeking some much needed advice please!!
We applied for our PR in july and we are currently in Canada on holiday, OH recieved both PER and job offer whilst here (due to fly back on saturday). The HR department of the company where he has recieved the job offer have called him to say that in his previous experience, if a LMO and TWP are submitted whilst application for PR is currently under way, CIC will cancel the PR application as he states that he doesnt think that you can have more than one application at a time. However I am sure as hell that I have read on here before that the PR just ticks along in the back ground. Can anyone shed somemuch needed light as I cannot for the life of me find where I saw this...
Cheers guys, Em

we are here on TWP and then applied for PR - this is perfectly acceptable (and there are lots of us on here who are doing this like Silverdragon). I don't know if you apply for PR first and then TWP - perhaps give CIC a call (they have an in Canada no.) and ask them.

I applied for PR from the UK, moved here as a tourist, applied for a TWP after a few months and got PR 3 years later.

Once it gets to the Visa Office, PNP is still in the queue with everyone else.
As the OP mentioned their PER, I would assume they are applying through Federal Skilled Worker Category 2 which is the same route as we are.
This used to process in 6 months, or so it said on the London website, but so far it has taken us 14 months and still not even at Meds.
FSW Cat 2 and PNP have both been experiencing similar processing times recently from what I have seen and none of them have been particularly fast compared to FSW Cat 1.
