im slightly confused here

could some of you good folk put me right on when exactly i can apply for pr

im coming over on a twp and looking to get pr asap,can i apply as soon as i start my job in canada or do i have to wait for a certain amount of months/year to pass.

i am a skilled worker but not in the list of 38

Probably would have gotten a better response in the immigration section, but I'll have a stab at this....

You can apply as soon as you get here, you will need a few things though :- a few pay slips to prove you're working here, a letter from your employer stating that they will employ you on an indeterminate basis if you get PR and you need to have 1 year remaining on your TWP (there seems to be some debate over this last one).

My advice is to start collecting the paperwork you need NOW - don't underestimate how long this takes, took me the best part of 6 months to get everything together....

still waiting ?

we arrived october 06 , got straight on with the pr in feb 07 , pr sorted by sept 07.

get on to it asap , they do make you get a lot of info including letters from your employer stating their intention to employ you for ever !!!!!!!

good luck

And not all employers will write this letter.
