Default TWP offer

HI guys,

I have recently been contacted by a Canadian employer who has initially offered me a job depending on what AIT say when I submit my application for Qualification Certificate Program, Obviously I must also sit and pass the interprovincial red seal exam too, my possible future employer says not to worry about that as I have around 6-8 weeks after landing ( providing everything with AIT goes to plan) before taking the exam.
the offer ATM is $30p/h then after 3 months full benefits (health, dentist etc etc) and then the salary is negotiable .
I have asked about relocation benefits and I'm awaiting there response on that.

Overtime is available as im told the current employees are doing an extra 2 hours a day, which would help.

Would $30 p/h be sufficient to support a family of 4 in Edmonton ? My wife will be looking to hopefully get some part time work but that would be perhaps 6 months after landing as the kids ( age 6 & 4) would need settling.
She is a private nursery manager so she would be looking into the same area of work as she currently works.

Thanks Matt

Im a welder, I have had another company paying $50.75 p/h say to consider them for work, but they would'nt assist in written offer or TWP. They just said when I'm legal to work in Canada to get in touch.
Im only thinking of the current employer offer as its my foot in the door to getting out into Alberta. I know if its TWP I'm tied to the company for a year or two, but I know when I get out there finding higher paying jobs should'nt be too difficult ( providing I pass the exam)

which company is it? you can pm it if you'd like. I know of a company hiring welders currently from Ireland and the UK based here in edmonton, so they have some open LMO's already, i think. (they paying enough as my friend brought his family with 3 kids over and the wife isnt working and they are managing well on it)

on the 30/hr its doable but would be tight I'd say. I'd say were managing on similar at the min as I'm on mat leave and we're coping but there's only 2 of us and a baby.
