I'm still looking for a curry house that will rival Bradford or Rusholme.
Been to about 6 curry houses downtown and none even come close, but they are still nice enough. |

Yoong Mr Yoong Hachi Hana on Lonsdale Ave, North Van. Absolutely superb Japanese food. (Well it was 3 years ago last time i was there). Now i have to watch Londoners buying the most awful looking sushi from Marks or Sainsburys thinking its the finest japanese cuisine. The salmon looks like an orange slug eating some very dry rice. Im just going to have a little cry. :frown: |

I make my own sushi and it is quite easy to make. Ms Yoong:D While in Vancouver recently we enjoyed very reasonable Sushi/Sashimi at Kadoya (1063 Davie) a few times - and judging by the line ups (queues) every night, we weren't the only ones. Actually we went on a Saturday night, and then again the following Saturday night, and sat next to the same people as the week before, some coincidence! Rob |

I'm putting in a vote for Shiru Bay in Yaletown - the Chilli Mayo Prawns are to die for  - several orders of those and a bottle of sake and I'm a happy bunny. :D

For a treat there is Carderos in Coal Harbour, Joe Fortes in Thurlow and Robson (lunch time special of $10 is well worth a visit but don't be in a rush to get back to the office) and another one that I can't remember the name of, where you actaully have to go into the port down east.
