Hi Angela, Thanks for the info.
Actually compared to other quotes we've had Zoom is still cheaper and even if it all adds up to £900 katie the Collie is coming with us and we agree with the idea that if the dog travels on the same plane there will hopefully less hassle and stress (a dangerous thing to say).

Thanks again

Jim

My husband and I recently flew our dogs (both 8) over from Scotland to Newfoundland, which was made up of three flights - edinburgh to heathrow, heathrow to halifax, halifax to st johns.

Despite a one day delay in heathrow as halifax was snowbound, everything went without a hitch. We used pet travel services of dunfermline who were excellent. The total cost was £2500 for both dogs, including up to 5 days boarding before flying out and all veterinary checks and all necessary paperwork. Also included was made to size wooden crates to fit specification (which we got keep - very handy for the car!).

Hope this helps.

Heres hoping you all, especially Katie, have a good flight and good luck for when you get here. Angela

This is the info on the Zoom website if any one is interested.
Please note that Zoom Airlines cannot transport the following breeds of dogs:

Old English Bulldogs
French bulldogs
Pug
Pekinese
Boston terrier
Boxer
Brussels griffin
Shihz tzu
Lhasa apso

The last two are my breed of dogs so now I am just hoping that this is not going to be widespread ...........otherwise looks like I will be swimming across the ocean with them
