Just wondering if anyone is up for a beer (or several) in downtown Toronto in the near future? Would be nice to put some faces to names!

I am usually drinking beer in downtown Toronto so, sure, this seems like a workable idea.

Works for me too. Although if the face that goes with the Tidge name turns out really to be Bubbles, it won't work for too long.

Very decent of you old bean. I can't guarantee attendence until a specific date is agreed, but what about that pub with the pseudo-gaelic name on College west of Yonge (near the MaRS centre). I had a decent time in there Thursday before last.

Location sounds fine. I don't know the place but will walk over and look for it sometime today.

I've no problem with that, I expect I'll bring an American.

Re location: On second thoughts, the pub I suggested didn't have much in the way of interesting beers (I drank Keith's). dbd has mentioned a few other downtown pubs which might be more appropriate. Anywhere a shortish walk from the Yonge-Finch line would work for me just as well.

Any progress on a date?

Atlantic Xpat is coming to town this week and we have half a plan to go to the Feathers on Wednesday or Thursday; perhaps he'd switch to wherever we're going. Other than that I have no plans so any day works for me.

If you want choice of beer then the Beer Markt is the place but it's right down on the Esplanade. I'm ok with Keith's.

Wednesday is out for me but I could make Thursday as far as I know (I'll check with my social secretary this evening).

Sorry but I can't make Thursday after all . Go ahead without me if AtlanticExpat is around. I should be less busy next week if there's a postponement. The pseudo irish place on College is called something like Eirann Fael. It has a patio for us smokers.
