Toronto Hotels.................

Hi all,

We're driving from Iroquois Falls, ON to Pearson Airport on Boxing Day this year before flying to Newfoundland to see the wifes family. We don't fly 'til the 27th though (11pm) so I was wondering if the wonderfully informed patrons of this site had any suggestions for a good hotel? :fingerscrossed:

It'll be me, the OH and our 2 year old nipper. Would like to see a few sights and maybe 'do' the Christmas markets (if they have 'em??) so any suggestions for the hotel or stuff to do would be gratefully received - never been to Toronto you see......................

Cheers,

Steve.

Delta Chelsea, its great for kids, and reasonably central, maybe a block from the subway. Has a pool and a whole kids entertainment area, plus its not super expensive. There is a Pizza Pizza a stones throw away too for cheap eats.

The rooms are functional, nothing fancy. The only issue we had was the construction noise from the tower going up opposite, but over Xmas thats probably not going to be a problem, and I guess you take your chances with that in any city hotel.

Stuff to do in Toronto boils down to basically, what do you want to do? The nipper will probably be OK with the stuff that the hotel does for kids TBH.

Sheraton Center is another. Nice pool and connected to the PATH so you could spend the time getting lost underground.

If the King Eddy won't match that, I'd grab it.

Wow , the King Eddy looks smart - $131.19.

The kids amusements at the Delta Chelsea is a freeby, you might want to factor that into the overall cost. Check the parking costs too?

Having said that my mate had his truck nicked from the Sheraton, cops figures it for an inside job... not that thats a compelling reason on its own...

If you want to spoil them, see if La Maquette's open. Oh, and the fabulous Carousel bacon sandwich shop in the market.
