That pretty much applies to most of Federal Ottawa.
BOT. I've also heard that 360 is more for the 'experience' than the dining, but that it should be done at least once in a lifetime. I've been to 360 with clients and I'm glad I wasn't paying...it seemed rather ordinary for the price. There are lots of great restaurants in Ottawa, but not generally in 'federal' Ottawa. |

Auberge du pommier isn't downtown so you'd have to cab it. Isn't it on Yonge near the 401? Friends of ours have been to Canoe and enjoyed it very much so. |

Yes, just south of Shepherd on Yonge. In what dbd33 used to refer to as the tundra before he moved to the tundra.

So where did you 'fine dine' in the end?

Re: Toronto fine dinning - help needed please
After much umming and ahhing we took our friends advise and went to Rosewood Bistro on Dundas /Missassauga.
I have to say the food and service was exceptional and I will definately be going again. The manager told us that they will be having live jazz nights on Thursday so we will be there for those. The whole evening came to $301 for 4 starters, 4 mains, 3 desserts. Plus 3 bottles of wine. In my opinion a bargain. Thanks to everyone who responded to my plea. http://www.rosewoodbistro.ca/index2.html |
