My husband and I may be moving to Toronto in November with our small dog.
Please could someone tell me whether small dogs are allowed in shops - as is commonplace in the cities I have visited in America? I appreciate that food stores are likely to be off limits.
In the UK this is definately not allowed, but I would really like to live in a city where there is more freedom with regards this so that we can spend as much time as possible with her as we explore the city and she adapts to a new country!
Also if anyone could recommend a daycare centre or dog walker they send their dog too this would be most appreciated - there seems to be alot of choice out there!
Thanks

Most shops and malls will have signs that state "No animals, except for service animals", with the latter typically being guide dogs.
This applies to all dogs, regardless of size.
I would expect pet shops to allow you in with your dog, most of the ones in Toronto I visited certainly allowed us to bring our black lab in with us.

http://www.urbandog.ca/ has worked for our dog. The only problem being that the day is wasted looking for him on the web cam.
