Tornado!

I have just logged on today, which is quite late for me, and I thought that a thread would have been started on this, but can't see one.
I was shocked to see the news today about the tornado in Manitoba. Looks like it did alot of damage.
Is there anymore news as it was very brief over here? Fingers crossed that no-one was seriously hurt.

Saw later on the news last night one injured a semi-trailer truck driver sprained his ankle when his truck was flipped over onto its side.
It's also possible more struck Manitoba yesterday.

Just a thought as i will be living in the next Province this being Saskatchewan if they have them there and how regular are they in either Province. First time i have heard of twisters in Canada thought this was mostly a mid USA thing.

Here's a map showing the average numbers per year.

The most deadly in recent history would be the Edmonton Tornado of 1987 which killed 27 people, this was also an F4 the same as hit Elie on Friday but the Edmonton one went through a mobile home park.
