I only used parcel2go once in the uk and it took them 3 weeks to deliver a parcel 70 miles down the motorway from Liverpool to Birmingham. I'd paid for the overnight courier service too. I'm sure my experience is a one-off though.
I agree with siouxie - Air Transat seems pretty good on their prices.

My experience with parcel2go was good. I'm actually in Europe at the moment, waiting for a package that was sent from the UK on Friday. The tracking system is saying that it's slready in my city.
I was also very reluctant to get rid of my stuff. But then when I was unpacking the boxes in Canada, I did actually get rid of some things. I agree with the other poster that you should ask your daughter to pay for her shipment.
And yes, it's worth looking into paying for extra luggage with the airline.

Thanks for all the helpful advice folks. Have decided to use Parcel2Go for some of the stuff and excess baggage the rest otherwise we will need a truck to pick us up from the airport. I quite like the idea of the boxes being delivered to my door in Sask. Will keep you posted and let you know how we get on : )
