Things you should get now in the Canadian sales if you haven't already:
#1 - Go nuts and buy extra winter gear - you'll lose gloves, toques, etc - make sure you have spares
#2 - A slow cooker - cheaper to run than a Canadian stove, come back from a day in the cold to something that's been cooking slowly all day - Mmmmm
#3 - A bread maker - will save you a fortune in the long term
#4 - Next year's Christmas presents
Anyone else got any thoughts on what's essential for Canadian life and is a good bargain?

I need a memory card for my camera. I am just using the built-in memory at the moment.
I noticed that Best Buy had 512 MB SD cards for $49 including a $20 mail-in rebate, but my son says I should buy an Ultra II card as its loads quicker. So right now I am looking for one of those on sale.

Sure it's small and black and white but my God, when did you ever hear of a brand new telly for ten pound?
