I fly out 25th April with one dog. My partner flies on 11th June with 2nd dog.

Very excited - very nervous in a positive way.

Making sure we do things in a more low key way than last time, but still exciting.

I made a really big mistake, my Dad died in February and in August the same year we moved from friends and family and everything associated with him to Toronto.

As i did most of the planning - I did not give myself the opportunity to grieve for my Dad. Not only did the cultural/home-sickness kick in, which I was prepared for, I was still in shock and bereavement, but had not accepted it.

"Keep Busy"

I have now taking time to work through the loss and work with neither parent being physically with me.

This time it feels so much better.

I understand how tough it is, I lost both parents before I hit 40. I hope the next year is as easy as it can be on you.

Good luck Rob. It seems this time you are much better placed to make a new start.
