When I lived in Stevenage back in the late 50's many Londoners that had moved there for a better life had the same homesickness and they had only moved 25 miles.
Some people perhaps should never leave home but we often do for our own childrens future.
Living in the past is for loosers.

We have been here a month.
I miss British TV
I miss Tesco delievering my groceries
I miss orange squash
Erm .... thats it so far.....weird I thought there would be more
I dont miss work.
I dont miss the mad pace, running around like a blue arse fly.
I dont miss the pushing and shoving when you are in busy high streets
I dont miss young lads spitting in the street
I dont miss all the foul language you constantly hear in the UK
I dont miss thye dirty streets
I dont miss my neighbour parking his car and van where he feels like it.
So on balance so far so good - but who knows what next week will bring, I know its early days yet.
