Those lakes Kananaski country !
Hi,
Went on a little road trip today. Bank holiday weekend and all.
Ended up in Kananaski lakes the lower of the two.
Absolutely beautiful I could have lay by the lake all day, and funnily enough all I could here around me where English accents. Any of you lot up there today?
I am going to head up to the upper one on the trail sometime soon.

We went to Pearce Estates Park which is east of the zoo. I took some pictures of the pelicans on the Bow River by the weir.
Cheers

We were in Kananaskis .... but we started at the village and hiked over the hill to Ribbon Creek and back .... tired little feets all round! Also stopped at Barrier Lake where it was just like the sea-side .... swimming, boating and sunbathing, but no crowds!

The deer shot although a tad out of focus is just something you treasure when get pictures like that.
I particularly like the shot of the Water Boatmen and their shadows on the rocks in the water.

The others were Alan's. He wouldn't have wanted me to post the deer pic as he is having a spot of bother with depth of focus! but it was so cute standing there watching us watching it!
The water-boatmen are just cool! I love that pic too.
