i was reading on a website if you have been driving longer than 2 years you just take a eye test n some theory questions then get your bc licence but if you have been driving under 2 years do you have to do the bc test also a mate told me insurance is based on you not the car like the UK
we moved to Surrey, BC in May 2012. Currently trying to get my fiances no claims accepted, but getting previous insurance companies in the U.K to write exactly what ICBC (the ONLY insurer here) to accept is proving difficult. We have a 3.7L Jeep Liberty he pays (as a new driver atm) $1800 per year.
White Rock is a really nice area , if you don't plan on living in White Rock research any area first as like anywhere there are some places to avoid here
