I'm actually still in Wigan at the minute waiting to sell our house. I became landed on May 5th at Toronto. My OH is Canadian but has lived in Wigan most of her life. Once the house is sold we're moving to Barrie about 60 miles North of TO, right on Lake Simcoe......What about you?

When are you hoping to get out of The UK and where do you hope to settle?

What about you?Same time at Maximes for me too. Probably about 95-96 last time I went. Keep saying I'm gonna go again but never get round to it.
Your mate is the same age as me. I left St James in Farnworth in 1982. I lived about 15 mins away from Hayward Grammar until I was nine I think. Whats Deb's last name? I take it you're not a Rock Chick any more?

She does have 2 brothers though...Jason (37 now) and Elton (28)....so if you can piece that one together you'll probably know who she is
Me....a rock-chick anymore? Well I've grown to love country so much now I'm here, listen to it at home, in the car, and on the net!! However, just last month I took my 15 year old son with me to see my metal gods of the late 80's....those bad boys of rock....Motley Crue....here in Red Deer. And I loved every bit of it....felt 19 again (oh I wish!!

Oh no....not another RUSH fan!! My hubby's been a fan of theirs for over 20 years now and drives me mad with his collection
Always used to try and top HIS band (v.childish I know!) over MINE (Motley, WASP, Cinderella), but we both shared a love for Whitesnake and Guns'n'Roses......ah, days gone by!
Where in Canada are you coming out to?

I never liked all the HAIR bands of the 80's. Bit too posy n ponsy for my liking.

Hi its Kelly (Drew's OH)
I hate RUSH!!!!!! but love Whitesnake and Guns and Roses. I used to go to Maxims and walk around and around and around seeing who was in!!!! before hitting the dance floor. Whats even sadder is I actually went when it was Tiffany's!! obviously my taste in music is quite varied.
Went watching Whitesnake last year at the Apollo in Manchester and David Coverdale doesn't look any different (must have had some 'work' done to keep him looking so young, but hey what a great night.)

Hi Kelly! I'm glad I'm not the only one re: Rush
(My one and only fave of theirs is Time Stand Still but that's pretty much it really). I can't believe Whitesnake toured last year, and especially at the M'cr Apollo too! We were in the UK for 8 months last year, what month did they play? Like I said to Drew, I've kinda weaned myself off rock nowadays and got into modern day country here (Alberta is very big country music here). You're moving to Barrie. Well I can't comment on there personally, but we lived for 9 months in another area of SW Ontario, north of London. I hope you both enjoy where you're heading.

Weve been to Barrie four times in the last 18 months and really like it.
It has everything you need but is far enough away from the metropolis to suit us. What's Red Deer like?
