Things for Kids in Nova Scotia!!!
Hi all,
We are off on recce trip in May with the kids in tow!!
We will have a few days "free time" and would be grateful for any info about places to see/do that you can recommend for families.
We will be travelling all round NS(as much as we can do anyway!) so all suggestions welcome!!
Thanks!

The Fundy Geological Museum is open all year at http://museum.gov.ns.ca/fgm/lab/lab.html

The best thing to do (no tongue in cheek) is get in the car and drive to Orlando, I've done it, it took 32 hours and we had (to coin the coloquial phrase) an awesome time for two weeks, something we're likely to do every couple of years. also there is Six Flags in Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York State and Montreal - all about 12 hours drive. Sounnd like madness from a UK perspective, but I'd rather drive 12 hours here than 3 in the UK. the roads are big, wide and empty - enjoy them!

In short, there are none to speak of. Two places pretend to be fun parks but will, without doubt, disappoint... Upper Clements Park (about 3 hours from Halifax) is a tired, ramshackle "funpark", it has a wooden rollercoaster (which is fun once or twice), a log flume and a rocko-plane ride. Nearer Halifax is Atlantic Playland which I struggle to describe. I've been to both and they are both f&*@ing terrible.

Look Forward to it..
