We decided in the end to use a firm called Whites, At the moment I can't complain about the service, it has been top notch.
I also took the advice given to me with regards to our electrical goods, and put fliers around the neighbourhood etc....and we've basically got rid of most of our goods, so thanks guys.
Now just basically waiting for our eldest to complete his exams, then we're off...a new life to look forward to, and a new house to admire. No job to go to yet, but I guess something will turn up...Not really bothered what I do to start off with as I've resigned myself to starting at the bottom again, should be relatively easy all i've got to do is imagine that I'm 18 again.
Anyway guys I'll keep you posted and I'll post some pictures of our new life soon.
Good luck to you ALL.

The landing process was very quick, immigration didn't ask any questions they just stamped and signed the forms and then we went through the `to declare' channel at customs to hand the goods to follow form over, they didn't ask for proof of funds (we offered it anyway) and they didn't ask for a list of what we were bringing in our suitcases! the whole thing took 15 minutes.
We went to Cochrane last weekend - its looking good there, we had lunch in a cafe on that main strip with the western style buildings and ice cream for dessert from next door!! I looked round Cochrane last August and was gobsmacked at how much it had grown in just under a year, the gleneagles estate was much bigger. Our brother-in-law was with us doing a reckie as well and loved Cochrane, especially the gleneagles estate.
We decided to stay in the city and bought a house in the SW of Calgary in Somerset, with having 3 younger kids (10,8 and 2) it was the ideal place with lots of other families and a nice elementary school. We did find it hard to find a 4 bedroom house, everything seems to have 3 bedrooms, there was nothing at all in Cochrane or in some of the other areas we liked.
Hope you have a good trip over in June, we were very reluctant to come back again to England and can't wait to get back again in July!!
