Is there a Canadian equivalent to...

Does anyone know of a Canadian website that give the same information as 'www.upmystreet'. Its lists everything like schools, crime, leisure etc.

There are some relevant links in the articles in the Consumer Topics-Canada section of the BE Wiki.
But there isn't a One-Stop-Shop like the one you're looking for.

Statistics Canada has a website with information from the census in 2001 and just coming in info from the 2006 census
This will give loads of info on different areas, population, age, average income etc
http://www.statcan.ca/start.html
I think it would be a useful addition to the wiki, if its not already there, scuse me if I have missed it there!

I added it to the following Wiki articles:
- Useful Information-Canada
- Where to live in Canada
- Choosing a neighbourhood-Canada
- Housing Information-Canada
But I am driving to the BC coast the day after tomorrow, and my days as the resident Wiki Elf are numbered.
So, if anyone feels like taking the baton from me, they're welcome.
I think it also would be nice if posters got into the habit of putting their often excellent information into the Wiki, as it soon disappears if it's only posted on the forum.
But, whether or not that idea will take hold and become a habit will be up to the next generation of posters, so to speak.
