Default Terry Fox Remembrance

This amazing fella is being remembered this year, with a $1 coin that has his picture on it, and well deserved too:

A fitting memorial to a giant amongst men. Long may he be remembered.

When I was a teenager in Gananoque, Ont. I ran laps with my school to raise money for his charity in 1980. When I mention him in the UK, no-one's ever heard of him. It's nice to see he's being remembered in Canada

If anyone is interested in learning more about Terry Fox:

There's slight comic relief on archive clip #8; Peter Mansbridge with a full head of hair. The rest of the clip is simply heartbreaking .

Gananoque eh! Now with the casino it's almost the centre of the universe.
