Default Terrestrial TV

This probably sounds like a silly question but is there terrestrial TV in the Calgary area?

We move in to our new home on Monday but the cable guy isn't coming untill Thursday and a 2 year old with no TV when you are trying to unpack your life is not an easy situation.

You'll need an antenna but yes there are 6 over the air channels in Calgary.

2 Global
4 CTV
5 CITY-TV
9 CBC
13 Access
16 CBC French

Most likely you don't need an antenna if you live near cities. Any thin wire with the length of minimum 15 cm inserted in the center of the antenna connector will be fine as temporary solution. Of course you have to run "autoprogram" or whatever you find in your TV's menu.

We've sent Rogers Cable far away and use an antenna from HiFi system to have about 6-8 channels for free in Mississauga.

Before we were officially connected and subscribing, we picked up a couple of channels...a bit snowy but better than nothing.

I have absolutely no idea why would you subscribe for THAT. Heard also that those "ehtnic/international" TV packages you get here is real junk.
