Default Temporary Work Visa or PNP in Alberta

Hi
I have a guaranteed job offer for a permanent job in Alberta.
Does any one know if a can get a temp work visa or does the job have to be temporary for this?

Also if we went and applied for PNP from the UK how long would it take?

Anybody been in this situation before...please help.

We just want to come out quickly and start our new life.

Thanks

Well done!

Can I just ask what your line of work is and did you go through an agency that charged for lining a job up?

Cheers.

I believe that you have to get your employer to apply to the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program and if the various criteria are met then they can apply to employ you through the Alberta PNP. Similar criteria apply for a Temp Work permit (but via the HRSDC)and as far as I can see there is nothing to stop you going out initially on the permit (in fact it seems to be a recognised route) then applying for PNP later. I don't know how long PNP takes but it is a hell of a lot quicker than Skilled Worker route and the current rumour is about 12 months. Here is a link http://www.alberta-canada.com/pnp/
which may help. Good luck

Have you obtained an AEO ? If so, why not apply for skilled worker with AEO and your application will be fast tracked - you should be there within 6 months - ie, probably quicker than both work permit and PNP
