Intaxification = the euphoria you feel when you get a tax refund. It lasts until you realize it was your money in the first place.

yeah i have to say that h&r was good to us as well

Told us alot of stuff we didn't know, as well as stuff that we did, apparently they have missed a couple of bits, but they money we will be getting back is fine by me

Plus if another source is correct, we can add the other bits on next year, so another big saving coming our way

Many years ago, they got mine wrong and it cost me nearly $1000 three years later when I found the error with my accountant. So we had to file an adjustment. They did pay the penalties and interest after a bit of a discussion on the finer points of their guarantee.

I went into H&R block and came out 35 minutes later, taxes all done for me and Mr YCD and my cheque in my hand. Painless and cost around $140 for both of us.

Hi Amydavid

Have to agreed with you on H&R. we went on tuesday and it was all very painless. Had to return on wednesday evening when you were in there with some more paper work. Alls well for another year and a rebate as well.

Got to love canada never got a rebate in 25 years in UK.

We once got a rebate in the UK. OH worked offshore and earned in 40% tax bracket. He was paying into a private pension and was only receiving around 22% (or therebouts) tax relief on it and I discovered that he should have been receiving 40% tax relief on it.

6 years backdated tax relief came back to us

We need to take some more bits back and then off it goes. Only downside is that we cannot get the cash straight away from H&R Block because our one includes a claim for moving across the country - still I think it only takes up to 3 weeks to get the money.

David will be a busy boy putting my new roof and sidings on this spring lol

Ahh is that so...I may well have something for him to do...it involves a large soil delivery, a wheelbarrow and my garden! I can provide tea or coffee or if it is a Friday - a Keiths
