tax question for Calgary

Default tax question for Calgary

I am looking for advice. is this site accurate for working out all the taxes that are due ?

From what i can see it is accurate for a single person...it does not reflect whether you are married or have children either.

i am married with 1 child aged 1. how does this usually effect tax?? sorry for sounding stupid. At the minute my wife isn't going to be working in Canada.

So you are married with one dependent child. So that's what you put on the T1. Read the general guide, if this is your first tax return also read the newcomer's guide, as there are differences when doing your first return.

You can claim your wife's personal tax credit and child tax credit.
