Hey Guys
I'm currently 6 months into my Bunac visa and I'm looking to do a tax return...
For the last tax year I worked in Ontario only so can anybody tell me which form I need to fill in?
Also, do I include things like my rent receipts in the hope of claiming some of the tax back?
Sorry if this has been asked a million times - but even searching the forums becomes confusing when the dreaded T word rears its ugly head?

Or pick up a pack at your local post office.
Rent paid is a personal expense and you can't claim a federal tax deduction.

You can get tax back on rent if you are low income. You can get a tax rebate on what portion of the rent is presumed to be paid in taxation by your landlord. However the income needs to be rather low to get this back. We managed to get about $1,200 back the first year as a result of this as neither of us where working.

Not sure how relevant it is though in this case.
I use a program called "tax freeway", you can download it for free, its $10 to activate and print a return. There are other packages out there if you dont fancy waiding through the paper forms.

Yeah, you're right, it's an Ontario Tax Credit.
