Smile Taking Money Into Canada

[COLOR=DarkOrange]Hi All,
I'm sure someone has asked this question already but I can't find an answer anywhere.
Does anyone know if you are held to any taxes when transferring a large sum of money from the UK to Canada. Basically this is going to be the equity from the sale of our house.
Also can anyone recommend any money transfer companies in the UK to handle such a process.
One last thing can anyone recommend any shipping companies for the house stuff.
All responses would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers All
Simon

The answer to your first question is no.

The answers to your other questions can be found in numerous other discussions that have come up recently (just go back over a few pages; you'll find them).

Right now is not a good time to be moving large amounts of pounds into Canada. If you don't have to, wait a few months.

Contacted numerous bods to get quotes and none could beat Excess International. Best price based on 5 quotes, 3 by far and one by a few hundrede quid, & they offer a full comprehensive service.

Many we contacted never even got in touch.

Rich.
