I didn't see this, just posted the same in another thread! I haven't ever seen granules here either, so it's not just being rural. Exotic Winnipeg doesn't have any either. Well, perhaps in the British shop but I've never been

The very nice lady that served me in there had such a thick Scottish accent I couldn't understand a word she said!

Good shop though - picked up some tinned marrowfat peas

Sorry, no. Only bought a couple of cans - gone now. Not cheap at about $3.00 a can (if I remember rightly)

There are some British shops in Calgary, too if you want a taste of home. Eau Claire Market (downtown) had one last time I was there. One in Market Mall (NW). A small one called the "British Pantry" just across from Wal-Mart on Northland Drive (NW). Not sure about the south end of the City - but I'm sure someone here can tell us about those!

In regular supermarkets now I find all kinds of English stuff:

Tetley tea bags (round, and same as the UK ones). Box of 216 for about $7.00

All kinds of biccies - Digestives (inc choc) Hob nobs, etc.
Jams, Branston Pickle, HP sauce, salad cream. Ambrosia rice pud, tinned custard, Birds custard powder. The list goes on.

Had a field day when M&S closed it's doors here (sad day), but Superstore bought all their old stock, so was able to stock up on some goodies quite cheaply. YUM
