Now you're just being scilly.

You just don't get it do you? This forum is about information, banter and offering a familiar place where semi like minded individuals come for entertainment and perhaps to share some of our collective experience and wisdom with aspiring immigrants. Also I agree with Schnooks, your writing style, while undoubtably individual, is in my opinion, highly irritating.

Just my opinion.

As I said ....... the most unfriendly forum I have ever been on, and I do post on a lot of them

If I remember correctly, no-one welcomed me as a new poster last year

No-one noticed or commented when I returned after an absence

Both happen regularly on other forums

I thought I might have something to contribute, while enjoying a new place and new group of people

All it seems there is on here is the attitude "ooooooooh. A new victim for bullying"

No, rivingtonpike, I don't get it

I don't like being bullied off a site but equally I don't like being bullied, never have

Just my opinion of the behaviour exhibited towards me over the last week or so, of course

I hope that those of you so desperate to return to the UK achieve what you wish to do, and are happy there.

You seem to have a very unusual interpretation of bullying. How do you feel you have been bullied? Posters have disagreed with some of your posts, but so what. You have been ribbed from time to time, but so has everyone else. If you take offense and comments about your writing style then, well just then really.

Welcome to the forum.

If I'm honest I hadn't noticed you till today. LOL

I don't think you can expect people to keep track of your movements especially when you really do have a low number of posts and no real tenure. When you joined did you do an intro thread?

Your writing style doesn't bother me all that much.

Now pull up your socks and stop playing the victim. Most people were just joking around.

Most people on here ignore my posts and neither do I get greeted if I come or go - there are a few very nice folk and a lot of pleasant and helpful ones, plus a few grumpy ones (who are fine and also help with advice and whatnot).

There are also a few posters in particular who keep going out of their way to help people with new issues/questions - around immigration, border security, taxes, etc. - more than usual and beyond what they need to do. And most nearly everyone will help if you ask for it. Actions speak louder than words, so that means something.

So all in all it's probably (to me) actually a nice group overall, even though I get ignored too It's probably a personal lesson, rather than a fault of the group.

By the way, I am not sure anyone is bullying, sometimes people have some arguments but that's about it

I don't think I even wrote an opening post let alone got welcomed for it! I didn't realise that section existed for quite a while. I absented myself for a bit but didn't expect anyone else to notice. After all people are busy and you only really notice the really frequent posters!

However on that note. Welcome back Gozit and Millie F 😊

This is a bit precious. If you're going to make controversial statements like, there are too many Asians in Vancouver, expect to receive some pushback. Not everyone has the same opinion.

On the.........writing style..........why.............do you do it.....................I mean the extended ellipses...........................what is the point? Don't take it personally (as you have done)...........but......it is.......very........irr.....i......tating.

I hope you will not flounce, I've enjoyed your contributions to the forum.
