I would prefer somewhere with no mosquitoes cos they still seem to manage to bite me through clothes even if I am drenched in repellant.
I think that all newcomers suffer from the swelling and mankyness...something to do with antibodies I expect. When I first arrived the bites usefd to swell up to golfball size...now I hardly notive them at all.

That's interesting as I do suffer with mosquito bites badly, no amount of repellent works for me, infact I think I would be considered to be the repellent for everyone else!

Oh Mr P you just love to be right - or at least think you are So I ask you why is it always at least 2 degrees warmer in Lethbridge as reported by the Global Calgary Morning News programme
[/QUOTE]

I think it is the fact that the Calgary night-time temps are a lot cooler - which brings down our 'average'. 'Tis the altitude you see. Maybe.

Answer me that one now

Gaynor
Lethbridge is 2 degrees warmer than what? Calgary? No argument I stated Lethbridge ranked 32nd warmest and Calgary is way down at 77th place.

Gaynor it's not a case of me thinking I'm right, I am quoting Environment Canada's weather winners website it's all there in the link if you care to look.

Yes agree, I'm from Kelowna and my god did we have a beautiful summer last year though I was told it arrived later that normal. However, when it finally arrived it was straight to the beaches 3/4 times per week - I had forgotten what a real summer was like!

Very True, in 2008, summer here in the Okanagan was late arriving and not as long as most summers (don't even think we held onto our heatwave as long as normal either? .. which can reach 37-40c at best!)

Saying that, the end of 2008 and start to 2009 has been out of the ordinary weather wise too!

Well it's only the third time it's been mentioned in this one thread.
