I get the folks back in the UK to send over packs of Atora Vegetable Suet. It is available on some British shops in Canada, but they want a ridiculous price for it.

I found it once, in the frozen section in No Frills, but I've just used the last of it in my Christmas pudding....

It is available in Atlantic Superstore (Loblaws) most of the time, always in the freezer section with packaged meats. It is not always there but off and on throughout the year. It's always there as Christmas approaches. I buy several packets and keep them in the freezer for between times and, yes, it is overpriced compared to the U.K., considering that it is just fat.

My Sister sends me Atora, both the meat version & the veggie version through the post. I've never had a problem but I'm sure she just writes 'gifts' on the customs form.
