This may sound like an entirely stupid question, but we moved over to Canada - me with a work permit, my husband with an open work permit. So can he study on this permit? He's decided that he's rather go back to school again here.

On my permit, it says that I am only able to work in the job I have, for the company I am employed for etc, but am not allowed to attend any educational institution or take any professional training.
However, there is no such statement on my husbands permit - only the date he must leave by and that he cannot work in healthcare, child services etc.

Immigration are being rather unhelpful - nothing on the website and they don't answer phone calls....

Don't know if anyone else has benin this situation and can offer some help

Think that CBSA must have made a mistake as most people I have had dealings with with TWP/SOWP have a note on there saying not allowed to study as your permit states.
