Hi, totally new to this forum so sorry if I'm asking about already covered topics!

I have applied for a college course in Ontario and will, following acceptance, apply for a student visa. Does anyone know if the spousal open work permit has a start date? We are hoping to go over at the end of July when our girls finish school for the summer so as to give us time to rent a house/buy a car etc, my husband was hoping to start job hunting straight away but as my course would not start until Sept. we wondered if he could?

Also, do they check up on your attendance at college once you are there?! I'm sure I will have days off with sick kids and new school traumas!

Hope someone can help, I'm sure these will just be the first of millions of questions!
