Soo, I saw my doctor today, after eventually getting past the harridan on the front desk . ..
Throat swab, sputum sample - mm lovely - Without the test results and given my time lines of how I have felt over the last 3 weeks her thoughts were a viral throat infection that has been compounded by infection in sinuses - which came on last night this morning- oooh the colour of my snot!
So now I have anti biotics and a neti pot plus a nasal spray - am off to try the neti pot now -and yes I am stalling as I really dont want to !

I got mono in the 1 year i moved to Toronto in 2003, it attacks your immune system, it shuts everything down, i remember i only just started a new job and i forced myself to go to work but i was so tired that on my lunch hour I'd fall asleep in the food court, and when i'd get home i would go straight to bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow id been out cold until the next morning, when i went to see the doctor they were shocked that id been able to go to work, go to the doctor

if its mono go to the DR! I have a netti pot ... I have something of a chronic sinus condition, and I have used it a few times, but I am really poor at water going up my nose ever since childhood ... I hate putting my head under water when swimming etc.
I really have to concentrate not to panic when I'm using it, and it does seem to help .... I think ...
