I don't know if they have them in Canada but in UK you can buy a plug in energy monitor which displays how many watts your equipment is using. Something like that would be useful to check you are not overloading the transformer.

I would look at the inputs your kit can handle.

I have just bought a new plasma TV, with the intention of brining it with me to Canada and it supports 110-240v 50/60hz power, the same with my Pioneer amp.

So might be work looking to see what will work without messing with transformers and the like

Yeah, I've done all that, anything i've purchased over the past year or so is 'Canada ready', most LG TV's are 110-240v.

Thats good, yeah mine is an LG plasma
