What do you want to know?My idea was to buy a cheap house (found one for $60,000) in Stanley before we sell our house here. We could then move to that as soon as we sell up here and stay there for as long as it takes to find/buy a more permanent pad.
The agent said its a nice village. Granted from the pictures I've seen it looks very small and like there is nothing there but it would certainly help with the move if we could get a cheap place and we then won't rush into buying a more expensive pad that isnt right for us long term.

If you are thinking of renting it out eventually, what is in the area to lure people to rent it from you? If you are looking to rent it out long-term there may be more potential to do so if its not far from Fredericton or the property is near a university.

We would rent it out. I've already asked and demand wouldn't be great at normal rent rates but as long as we get something back. If the same money was in the bank we'd only get a couple of thousand dollars per year interest so we could offer a really attractive rent to get someone in there. Of course if we buy it...at the minute I'd just love all these decisions to be a problem. We're still awaiting AOR
Based on some other apps though under PNP, we could be getting med requests within 3 months or so of AOR so it could all start going quickly

You sure do get a lotta house for your money - crikey less than £27,000.
Christmas is not really a good time to sell here but once January is under way the market starts to pick up. We sold very quickly in October as there were very few houses for sale in our village. We officially hand over the house on Jan 8th, the day we fly to NS (and the first day pets can fly after Christmas blackout). We did not need medicals for WPs.
Good luck
