Hello. Im sorry to bother you all again. We are looking at moving to St Catherines within the next year. My partner lived there for 3 years in the early 90's. What are the good points/Bad points about it currently. We have 2 children aged 8 and 10. Would this be a good place to bring them up?. Thanks for any pointers Mark

we live in st catharines , its a lovely place especially the northend , port dalhousie is also lovely .. jobs round here arnt very easy to get .. my hubby works in guelph so we will be moving soon , a lot of people work as far up as oshawa .. 2.5 hrs travel each way !!!
we have a son aged 8 and the school he goes to is lovely (even though he only just started , lol )
its good for travel to the falls, about 30 mins away .. as is the border into usa , all very easy to get to for good shopping trips , lol

Port Dalhousie is rather nice, but then I'm somewhat biased as that's where my OH is from.
St Catharine's on a whole seems ok. I'll ask the OH later about where she'd consider good and bad areas.
