Default Are spiders a problem everywhere?

Spiders are my only issue in moving to Canada. I really really hate them and knowing black widows/brown recluse may be around is enough to put me off (pathetic I know ).

Are spiders everywhere in Canada? Or is it that the colder places we go the less they appear?

Im terrible with spiders no matter how deadly or harmless so please be honest!

Spiders are not a problem anywhere in Canada, even in the few areas that actually have the black widows?

East of the Rockies they are a non event.

I heard some people make carpets out of spiders in Alberta and Nova Scotia.

I personally have never noticed spiders in BC when we're there and i'm a big girl around them.

You will not encounter Brown Recluse spiders in Canada.
In over 30 years of living in Toronto, I never saw a Black Widow spider.

That's your only issue? Not being thousands of miles from family, the isolation, cold winters, poor employent opportnites, awful food, bad tv, crap cars and general expsense of everything. Just spiders? You'll have no problem then.

Yes, there are spiders everywhere in Canada.

No, they are not a problem everywhere.

No, black widows do not exist in Nova Scotia.

No, you will not find brown recluse spiders anywhere in Canada. Here is their range:

Providing there are no spiders or bears I'll be happy!

My husband previously applied for a job in Sioux Lookout ON. You should see all the warnings about bears there! I didn't want to go....

My mate is always getting bitten by spiders and they can be nasty, but he lives in BC and on a boat.

Black widow's are common in BC's southern interior. I lost count how many I squished last summer.
