spare bedroom to rent truro??
Hi everyone. doing a recce trip to n.s truro shortly for about 3 weeks, on a budget,i needed some cheap accomodation, hotel or motel will cost too much, as will B&B so is there anybody willing to put me up for about 3weeks will pay!! 
or if any other ideas

Could lend you at tent. On serious side if your recce is before universities go back contact them as the rent rooms very cheaply. Other option is backpackers or hostel accommodation.

I would be more surprised if someone offered a total stranger (on a recce) a room in their private home for 3 weeks. Why did you book such a long trip if you can't afford the accommodation?

You don't have to be a student to book these types of accommodation. They are cheap, clean and secure what more do you need.

Hi there you should consider whether you want to spend the whole trip in Truro? yes Margot can nominate you for the area but so will other RDA's..in Nova Scotia .
Will you be able to afford a hire car because without it you won't see much..
Some bed and breakfasts do off season rates you should contact them all.
I agree if you don't have enough funds for the Recce trip how will you convince someone to nominate your family...If you really are looking for somewhere cheaper then try looking through KIjiji.ca at accommodations. Your first step should be to see if you would qualify on paper before you rush into anything,
