Solberg hints at lower immigration target...
I'm not at all sure how this will affect those currently in the system but it looks like the 300,000 a year target is out the window.
Backlog of 800,000 applicants. :scared::scared: 260,000 per year may be acceptable according to this CBC article. Seems to me it was said here during the election that the conservatives were not exactly immigration friendly. Cheers Steve |

This is an environmentally unfriendly move that reflects this week's government's position on Kyoto. Fewer immigrants = fewer taxis = more people driving themselves about.

It's a monster sized screw up...Canada needs many skills, what they're doing about it ? Uh, not much and not exactly helping fill the skills void. Anyone with a pair of eyes and a bit of pulpy gray mush lolling about inside their cranium can see how much Canada needs a large portion of skills and experience.
