Oh well dbd33 never mind better luck next time
I am also a Software/Web developer looking to move to Canada with my family and would be interested to know if you are in a position to offer work to potential immigrants? Being honest I haven't used the Guidewire suite of products and Java isn't really my strength but I have 11 years experience as a software/web developer and am more than willing to learn something new... A long shot I know and I'm not offended if the reply is negative but if you are interested please PM me and I'll send over my resume. Thanks in advance for your time.

ha ha. technically I'm not an immigrant - though on some of these facebook pages my legal status wouldn't matter. I have lived in Canada previously and got nationality.
I then had a bezerk moment and moved back to the UK and now I'm moving back to Canada. I could say more but it get's even weirder!
But, if you come on anything in .Net!!!

I'm no longer in the business of importing people. I do some consulting though and I do so at firms that make heavy use of contractors. I have all the infrastructure for pimping and so, if both halves come along, I'll take the business. I don't know much about .net. I do know that poster DandNHill needed some .net work done quite recently. Not a lucrative job but one near Waterloo. Someone local might want to pursue that.
