I have coming out again to BC to have a real good look this time and so what's what.
Not really stoked on Ontario but as yet can't really comment. I supose I must visit it before I make up my mind 100%.
Cheers

oh yes I remember you have also got the chance for another 100 acres haven't you!! (green with envy)
You will have to get some pictures on here.
Can you tell me a little more about how you purchased you place there, have you got visas yet?
We have seen a few properties but am still investigating the process of buying if I still live in the UK, if you know what I mean. trying to find out if you are allowed to buy and will this help your visa anymore?
Cheers

Costco was not what I had in mind lol! I was thinking more classy furniture shops and nice clothes boutiques, nice little eateries and swish restaurants.
As I say plenty people love the Okanagan - we did! Just not to live there.

Hi Tiaribbon,
just had a look on the interent for properties in Ontario, my gosh its just as vast as other regions.
Couldn't find any prices that were cheaper than BC on the whole apart from going further up and out into the country.
I'll do some more looking.
Cheers

We are off out there next week so I will PM you some piccies when we get back.
Property is very easy and uncomplicated to purchase in Canada. Our application for PR has been in process for 11 months. We are not going to move out to Ontario permanently until we have the PR which could be next year at the rate they are going in London. Buying a property is not detrimental to your Immigration Application and it doesn't help speed up the process.

Hi Tiaribbon,
I'll hold you to those photos, well have a lovely time no doubt you will, I'll have a look at eastern 7.
I am looking at my maps of tows in Ontario and the thing which confuses me is the eastern 7 bit, central 6 bit, they are not located on my map, is it the areas like in BC "Kootneeys" & Kamloops etc.
If so I need a new map

Trust me it does all come clear in the end, it's just that there are a lot more towns in the Toronto area and is far more densely populated than the Okanagan.

Firstly, you seem to know your 'onions' so to speak - so where do you think we should go for? Do you still feel Alberta is a good choice? Bear in mind what weather we're after (as you already know, sunny summers, snowy winters, and little rain).
Secondly, what do you mean by houses being regulated?

Kev I think the message here is do your research and then try and visit at least twice winter and summer we are all after different qualities in the places we intend to settle. By the way I have read your previous post and I hope you all get through medicals and find your idyllic place to live
